Wild Blue Yonder Brewing Company

Swanky swanky swanky- but not too much! This place has some real history which really adds to the experience of going here! The plot of land that this brewery is placed on was originally purchased in 1875 for a whopping 2 whole United States Dollars! Todays owners paid a lot more than that though, trust me - they have really invested in making this place Amazing! Right next to the brewery sits the original victorian home that was constructed on the property in 1902! You can’t go in the Victorian home, so don’t even think about it! What you can do though is go into the brewery and that is something that you need to do! The beer here is brewed to an unrivaled standard and the staff are super friendly! The Creamsicle Barley Pop was one of my favorites, its description on the menu says that it’s tart, sweet, and creamy which is a really slippery slope to get just right. The thing is though, they absolutely nailed it with this beer; it really is tart, sweet, and creamy! It’s something that you have never tasted before, it slaps your taste buds around just enough to wake up your olfactory senses into an immediate heart pounding excitement of sheer joy! You think this first sip has cleared your senses, (insert infomercial voice) but wait, there’s more! Suddenly you’re ever so gently overcome with a smooth creamy finish on your palate! At 5.7 ABV it’s a truly complex sour beer that will leave you wanting another one! After having the Creamsicle Barley Pop I had no idea how they could possibly brew a better beer than that, at least until I ordered the KLP Barley Pop. At first I was a little hesitant because I had no idea what in the world a KLP Barley Pop could be. It turns out that it’s a Kettle sour brewed beer with graham crackers, key lime juice, key lime peel, Madagascar vanilla beans and milk sugar- I know what you’re thinking, “Does all that stuff mix?”. Let me tell you firsthand my friend, it sure as hell does! The pleasure of being able to sip on one of these bad larrys is indescribable, it’s like a symphony in your mouth! It’s like you’re a kid again having the best s’mores key lime pie creation ever! It will make you feel like a true American pioneer because your going to be exploring flavors that were never before even dreamed of being possible or even achievable by man! Oh, did I mention that they serve food here too? This place really has it all! I personally didn’t eat here but the fares I saw others order looked delicious! We sat out in there expansive patio but they have a ton of indoor seating too! As a cherry on the top of everything, the owners of this fantastic brewpub are all Air Force veterans having all served as active duty Air Force Officers! I’d you haven’t tried this brewpub yet then you really need to check it out!
